This site sets no cookies, shows no advertising, and embeds nothing from another company — the typefaces and every film are served from this site’s own server. Page views are counted by a cookieless analytics tool that stores nothing on your device and does not identify you. The only thing kept on your device is a single display preference that you set yourself.

Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA, in its Frankfurt am Main region in Germany. When you open a page, the hosting provider’s servers automatically record the data your browser transmits:

• IP address
• Date and time of the request
• The file requested and the HTTP status code
• Referrer URL, where your browser sends one
• Browser type and version, and operating system

This processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure, stable and efficient operation of the site. The data is not combined with other sources and is not used to identify you.

A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Vercel. Where personal data reaches the United States, that transfer is safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR and by Vercel’s certification under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which work people spend time on. It is cookieless: it stores nothing on your device and reads nothing from it, so it does not require consent under § 25 TDDDG.

It records only aggregate dimensions — the page requested, the referring site, country, device type, browser and operating system. Visits are de-duplicated using a hash of the incoming request that rotates every day and is discarded within 24 hours, so nothing follows you between days or between websites.

Both the script and the data it reports stay on this domain, under /_vercel, so no request reaches a third-party analytics service. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is understanding which work resonates. You can object at any time under Art. 21 GDPR using the contact details above, and any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics stops it entirely.

Getting in touch

The “Start a project” form on this site sends nothing to us and nothing to any server. When you press Send, the details you typed are used to compose a message in your own email program, which you then send yourself. Until you actively send that email, no data leaves your device.

Once you do email us, we process what you provide — your name, email address, brand and the content of your message — in order to answer you. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns a contract or steps taken prior to one, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. We keep correspondence for as long as it takes to deal with the matter and to meet statutory retention periods.

Storage on your device

If you use the “Pause motion” control in the footer, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the key om:motion. It is not a cookie, it is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and it contains nothing but the word “play” or “pause”.

This storage is strictly necessary to provide a function you explicitly requested, so it requires no consent under § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Typefaces

The typefaces on this site (Cormorant Garamond and Geist) are served from this website’s own server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or to any other external provider, and no data about you is transmitted to a third party when they load.

Films

Every film is served from this website’s own domain. No video platform such as YouTube or Vimeo is embedded, so no third party learns what you watch or that you visited.

Encryption

This site is served over TLS (https), which protects the content in transit. You can recognise the encrypted connection by the https:// prefix in your browser’s address bar.

Under the GDPR you have the right to:
